Social Security Code IX (SGB IX), Section 71: "Private and public employers with at least 20 jobs ... must employ severely disabled people in at least five percent of their jobs..."

According to SGB IX § 77, you must pay a compensatory levy if you employ no or too few severely disabled persons. From 2016, this will amount to:

  • 125 euros for an employment rate of 3% to less than 5%
  • 220 euros for an employment rate of 2% to less than 3%
  • 320 euros for an employment rate of less than 2%

All our workshops are recognized institutions within the meaning of § 142 SGB IX. Therefore, you may offset 50 percent of our work performance against the compensatory levy.

Example

You employ 100 people in your company, two of whom are severely disabled. The employment rate is 2 percent. For the three vacant mandatory positions, you must pay a monthly compensation levy of 600 euros (3 x 200 euros).

That amounts to €7,200 per year.

You award a contract to EVIM Werkstätten, a recognized workshop for people with disabilities. Our invoice includes eligible wage costs of €14,400. You can offset 50 percent of this amount, i.e., €7,200, against the compensation levy.

This means that you do not have to pay any compensation levy for one year.

As a company that serves exclusively charitable purposes, we can offer services in accordance with the requirements of Section 12 (2) No. 8a of the German Value Added Tax Act (UStG) at a reduced sales tax rate of 7 percent. This applies, among other things, to the sales of workshops for disabled people such as the EVIM rehabilitation workshop.

Our services are tailored entirely to your requirements and wishes: throughout the entire work process—from data transfer to delivery of the digital results—our flexible team will respond to your individual needs. As part of the EVIM rehabilitation workshop, we can process even large orders at short notice quickly and reliably.

Get in touch with us! We will be happy to answer your questions and provide you with a customized quote.

Through our internal quality management system, we continuously review and optimize our work processes and results. The workshops are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 by the German Society for the Certification of Management Systems mbH.

We encourage and support our colleagues with mental illnesses according to their abilities and inclinations. With regular training and internships, we prepare them for the primary labor market and accompany them on their journey. Personal development courses strengthen their confidence in their own abilities. In this way, our workshop is a springboard for a professional future in other companies in the region.
